5 Mudrooms We Love & Why
Mudrooms are such a luxury, especially in the Spring when everyone comes home with mud all over their boots. We love to organize these highly used rooms, showing off how they can be super functional and look good too! Here are 5 mudrooms we love and why.

First up, this little nook featured in House Beautiful shows how you can have it all, even in a small space. A place for baskets to store accessories, boot & shoe storage under the bench and of course hooks to hang everything else! Well done Emily Henderson!

This pic features only half of this beautiful mudroom designed by Studio McGee! When space is not an issue, built-in wardrobes are amazing for storing all the stuff you don't necessarily want to see. Whether it's hiding dirty shoes, brooms, or all the other bits that end up in the mudroom, tall cupboards with closed doors are a fantastic option.

It's pretty common to see a laundry and mudroom combination these days, like this one by Joanna Gaines. Anytime a space can be multifunctional we at IOC get pretty excited! We love seeing space used wisely without sacrificing the aesthetic and this mudroom definitely checks all the boxes!

Up next is a Sarah Richardson design. Sarah used a bench and added hooks above instead of the popular built-in bench and it works perfectly! This was a great choice for a bench - it has storage under the seat and can still fit boots below it. We love the practicality of the colour pallet too ;)

The simplicity of this space is what drew us to this mudroom designed by Freckles Chick. We are big fans of having space under a bench for your shoes if you can't tell! Far too often this simple design element is an oversight when planning a mudroom. We also love hooks along an open wall - it's very practical and provides a clean look.
Mudrooms are high traffic areas that are often a landing space when you enter your home. It's where your shoes get kicked off, coats hung, and bags put away. Even though it's not the biggest room, It's a space that deserves to be functional and organized!
